ABC’s Project of Distinction Awards
ESI Group is honored to have received project awards for multiple projects including a LEED Silver certified new 291,000 square foot refrigerated distribution center in Buda, Texas, a 167,000 square foot warehouse expansion project in Southeastern Florida, a 19,428 square foot business review meeting center in Walnut, California, a 902,000 square foot distribution center in Phoenix, Arizona, a 83,500 square foot highly temperature controlled (-35 degrees Celsius) Plasma Logistics Center in Clayton, North Carolina and most recently a 118,000 square foot state-of-the-art Commissary Kitchen in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The Projects of Distinction Awards program, going on its’ 25th year, is hosted by the Wisconsin Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractor (ABC) Association. Awards are presented during their annual banquet in February of each year.
The National Associated & Builders Contractor Association has adopted the Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP) program. It was created in 1989 by the ABC National Environment, Health & Safety Committee to recognize ABC member companies with exceptional safety records.
The award is the industries only safety program that is nationally recognized by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). OSHA is the main federal agency charged with the enforcement of safety and health legislation. ESI Group has been an award recipient each year an application was submitted.
