Senior Field Construction Manager
Oversee the coordination and supervision of onsite construction of major food facility projects from project mobilization through final owner occupancy, which are to be executed in a timely and cost-effective manner, while working with client Facility and Manufacturing Engineers, as well as outside engineering firms.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Act as the main field point of contact with the client and as an extension of their facilities team
- Act as a liaison between the client and ESI’s Project Manager when necessary as well as subcontractors and subconsultants in executing the design of food facility construction projects of various sizes
- Administer, control, and manage high-profile food industry-related projects from site mobilization through close-out with minimal supervision, all while controlling costs, schedule, subcontractor work performance, subcontract execution, purchases, construction meetings, material suppliers, and reviewing payment requests to establish and manage budgets
- Expedite all site requirements, including subcontractors, material, construction equipment, and labor, to ensure the project is constructed in the most efficient and organized manner
- Interact with the client to meet company margins, quality, and safety standards
- Review shop drawings and submittals for review and processing
- Responsible for directing and providing training to Assistant Field Construction

Education & Skills Requirements:
- College degree in an appropriate engineering discipline, such as Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Structural Engineering, or 10 to 15 years of supervisory jobsite experience
- Foodservice construction and/or refrigeration experience is desirable
- Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction, including but not limited to technology, equipment, methods, procedures, standards, Union jurisdiction, labor agreements, and negotiations, is essential
- Proficiency in all CSI divisions of work
- Familiarity with relevant building codes, practices, and principles
- Knowledge of construction project development, cost-estimating, and owner occupancy requirements
- Outstanding managerial, supervisory, technical and communication capabilities
- Strong teamwork skills
- Completion of OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, and HazCom trainings
- Computer literacy required, with proficiency in Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Word
- Previous Procore experience is a plus
- Professional references are required
