Hartland, Wis. – ESI Group USA, a nationally accredited design-build engineering and construction management firm specializing in the food industry, is celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2016.
ESI’s President Brad Barke credits the company’s growth and longevity to doing whatever it takes to get the job done, assuring that when a client has another project, ESI is the company they contact.
“We take pride in our history, our work and our long-term client relationships,” Barke said. “Our success is driven by avoiding disputes and providing value to help businesses thrive.”
ESI first opened its doors as Environmental Structures in January, 1991, and changed the name to ESI Group USA in 2006 when they re-structured themselves as two teams of accredited Food Facility Specialists consisting of ESI Design Services and ESI Constructors. Together, they provide design-build services including site search and evaluation, process layout, simulation and visualization, facility layout and design, material handling analysis and construction management.
ESI’s integrated design-build approach provides clients with a single point of responsibility; while ESI’s Three Phase Project approach ensures each facility it designs and builds meets industry requirements. Our collaborative method allows greater control over budget and schedule ultimately resulting in time and money saved.
“By managing each project from concept to completion and maintaining a distinguished safety record, we’ve achieved an 85 percent rate of repeat clients,” Barke added.
In addition, experience in low temperature refrigeration, controlled environments, FDA/USDA/SQF/BRC/AMI/AIB compliance and energy efficient design have earned the company LEED Gold certification for food distribution.
The mid-sized firm has a headquarters in Hartland, Wisconsin and regional offices in Nebraska, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas and Washington to deliver services nationwide for food processors, distributors and prepared food operations. Recent projects include a 272,000 square foot greenfield distribution center in Mississippi, a new 83,000 square foot -35 degree Celsius automated plasma storage and retrieval center in North Carolina, and a 119,000 square foot dry storage addition to an ingredient processing plant in Wisconsin.
