Groundbreaking Ceremony held for Sysco Freshpoint in Dallas
Hartland, Wis. – ESI Group USA is a nationally accredited design-build engineering and construction management firm specializing in the food industry. ESI completed the design and will begin construction of a facility expansion and renovation project for Sysco Freshpoint in Dallas, Texas.
Today, Sysco held a groundbreaking ceremony to kick-off the project. In attendance were government officials, associates, members of the community and ESI their Design-Build Firm.
The project consists of renovating a stand-alone 52,000 square foot structure, making it a box-in-a-box Process Area and constructing a new 14,400 square foot dock between the stand-alone building and the existing facility. The renovation will include a FreshCuts processing and production room for fresh-cut produce, a Reyco system that takes the waste from the produce, grinds it for compost, saving fuel and energy thus reducing Sysco Freshpoints carbon footprint.
