Internship Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Architecture and Engineering Intern to join our team. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, this role will provide hands-on experience in the design and engineering process of cold storage and food processing facilities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for architecture, engineering, and construction, and be eager to learn in a fast-paced, real-world environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist architects and engineers in developing design plans, drawings, and schematics for cold storage and food processing facilities.
- Prepare CAD/Revit drawings, layouts, and detailed designs under the supervision of senior team members.
- Collaborate in the development of 3D models and visualizations for client presentations.
- Help with the preparation of project documentation, including design specifications, construction documents, and technical reports.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining project records, drawings, and reports.
- Support the team in tracking design revisions and updates to ensure the most accurate documentation is available.
- Work closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure designs are aligned with client needs, industry standards, and company best practices.
- Participate in design coordination meetings to gain exposure to the design-build process and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Assist in solving design challenges and contribute to brainstorming sessions to improve efficiency, sustainability, or cost-effectiveness in facility design.
- Conduct research on materials, building codes, and industry trends related to cold storage and food processing facilities.
- Support the team in identifying new technologies and practices that can enhance facility design and performance.
- Attend site visits to observe construction progress, take measurements, and assist with design verifications or changes based on field conditions (may include nationwide travel).

Education & Skills Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Architecture, Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical), or a related field.
- Proficiency in CAD, Revit, and other design software; knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling) is a plus.
- Basic understanding of construction principles and practices, with a willingness to learn and acquire new skills.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management and problem-solving skills. Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
- Previous internship or coursework related to construction, industrial facilities, or design-build projects is a plus but not required.
- Educational and/or professional references are required.
