Senior Project Architect

Job Location: In-Office

A Senior Project Architect is a highly experienced professional responsible for interpreting client requirements, overseeing the design process, and ensuring that all architectural plans meet health, safety, and regulatory standards for food automation, distribution, and processing facilities nationwide.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Participate on design teams as the project architect lead and provide hands-on design from initial planning and development through production of construction documents
  • Review shop drawings, respond to questions, and provide design support to field project management and contractors through construction phase
  • Oversee a team of architects and engineers
  • Develop, edit, and improve project specifications
  • Develop and improve design standards and production methods
  • Work closely with clients to design solutions that meet their needs
  • Ensure compliance with relevant building codes and regulations
  • Position may include occasional travel for meetings, site surveys, and progress inspections for a typical duration of one (1) to three (3) days
  • Position is full-time, paid hourly, and qualifies for overtime pay, with compensation based on overall qualifications and level of experience

Education & Skills Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in architectural design
  • Excellent knowledge of architectural design principles, 3D modeling, drafting, and rendering software (such as Sketch-Up, Revit and AutoCAD)
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients, contractors, and internal teams
