FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Stephen Michael King, Regional Vice President of ESI Group USA, passed away March 30.
We lost a dear friend and valued colleague to pancreatic cancer. A beloved family man, true friend, and respected colleague, King graduated from Estacada High School in 1968. He put himself through Portland State University and graduated in 1973 with a B.S. in Engineering and Applied Science. A successful mechanical engineer, he enjoyed a long career as Regional Vice President and Program Manager for the design and construction of cold storage facilities in the food industry and truly enjoyed his work at ESI Group USA, where he made many lifelong friends. His love for reading, history, travel, fishing and hunting were contagious. Even more than his professional and personal accomplishments, he was most proud of his loving family.
King is survived by his wife, Sharon King, his daughters and their spouses, Victoria (Michael) Pottschmidt (née King), Nichole Lizotte, Kristal Delquadri, Rhonda and Dave Brown, and Daralyn Anderson; and his grandchildren Frank Turner, Whitney Turner, Michael Anderson, Eric Anderson, Rachel Anderson, Jessica Grover, Jhordan Grover, Tayler Hagar, Michael O’Neill, Brittney Delquadri, Evelyn and Annika Pottschmidt, and 5 great grandchildren. Family and friends honored King at a private funeral service on April 7, 2017 in Vancouver, Washington.
Our deepest sympathies are with Sharon and Steve’s family at this time. Steve played a vital role in the growth of ESI Group USA over the past 25 years and as a personal friend to many of us he will greatly be missed, says Brad Barke, President of ESI Group USA.
